Incorporating the towns of Manjimup, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Walpole, this region is home to some of the tallest trees and largest forests in Australia. This area was developed originally as the major timber supply for the state and while the trade still remains active in the area, it is on a much smaller scale however felling of trees does still occur. Walpole is the exception to the region as it sits on the coast overlooking a picturesque inlet and is a popular holiday, camping and fishing area.
