From the moment visitors arrive in the Margaret River Region they sense something special.  Margaret River is many things – an internationally renowned wine region, an idyllic holiday spot, a town and a gentle river that meanders its way to the sea. Recognised by Lonely Planet as the jewel of one of the Top 10 destinations in the world, the Margaret River Region is a place you’d rather be.
Margaret River is an abundance of activity all year round. The winter months attract visitors for whale watching season, while spring welcomes blossoming wildflowers. Towards the end of the year, beautiful warm beach weather rolls in, and after a balmy summer, autumn is the perfect time for bushwalking and mountain biking.
The name Margaret River is synonymous with wineries and surfing. The Margaret River Region has over 140 cellar doors, many which have outstanding restaurants attached. Surfers Point is one of the most recognised surfing locations in Australia and home to the Drug Aware Margaret River Pro.
