Hamelin bay is not only one of the most stunningly beautiful beaches, it is also home to a colony of friendly stingrays.
Attracted by the bits of fish discarded by fishermen, these rays regularly visit the shore to graze and have become so used to people they can be gently patted and hand fed.
They are in the wild, so their visiting times cannot be guaranteed. They are not regulated but are usually around when the weather is finer. Please be cautious though – they are not pets – and please do not hurt them.
