Lake Cave is the only cave on the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge that has a permanent lake and is home to the “suspended table” which weighs several tonnes and is one of the only formations of its kind in the world.
The cave is also supported by Caveworks, a world-class eco interpretative centre designed to teach about the formation and history of caves within the region, throughout Australia and around the world.
Access is through a spectacular doline – a large hole in the earth’s surface. It is the deepest of the three show caves run by the Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association.
There is also a cafe on site at Lake Cave.
