In 2010, Margaret River was host town for the Cow Parade, an event that has been held in various places around the world where full-size cow statues are painted in a variety of styles by artists sponsored to create something stand-out.
One of the favourites of the parade was the golden cow on the tall pole, affectionately known as Rump On A Stump and a tongue-in-cheek take on a similarly prominent statue at one of the wineries in the region.
