This is one of the more unique little country towns, a quaint and picturesque place – with a twist.
With many old and interesting little buildings full of collectables, Balingup has quite an “alternative” style, a blend of the creative and the bohemian, the traditional and the unusual. It is a very popular rest spot for motor bike riders who frequent the very scenic, winding valley roads from Balingup to Nannup.
Located on the Blacwood River, the town offers some spectacular scenery around the region, with many apple orchards and the occasional winery.
