Yallingup

You are here: Home  > Margaret River Region  > Yallingup
Yallingup is an Aboriginal word meaning “place of love”. For the handful of locals who live here and the tourists who come every year for the surf, the name is most appropriate. Located at the northern end of the Cape, about 10 minutes West of Dunsborough, Yallingup has not changed a great deal over the years. After its caves were discovered by European settlers in 1899, Yallingup became popular with tourists but it is really the surf that attracts the visitors.
