    Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Settlement

    At the base of Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse are the original settlement houses for the lighthouse keeper. One of the buildings now houses a cafe but the opportunities for use of these building as a “community” grouping are there for the taking.

    Wellington Dam

    Wellington Dam was developed on the Collie River as a Hydro Power Station. It provides quite a spectacular sight and offers an abundance of potential sites that may be suitable for filming.

    Old Steam Train, Collie

    Coal mined in the Collie region was transported to Bunbury by rail, and a number of old train carriages and this old steam train are housed in one of the sheds in town, maintained bu the Collie Heritage and Men’s Shed group.

    Coal Mine

    This is a replica coal mine showing the workings of a typical underground mine. It can provide quite a realistic setting without the need to venture down. The Replica Coal mine is attached to the Visitor Centre.

    Coalfields Museum

    Originally the Roads Board building in Collie, the original timber building is still in place (built 1906) whilst the “new” brick building was built next to it in 1930. The museum contains memorabilia from the Collie region and in particular mining memorabilia from the commencement of mining, and includes mining and farming machinery.
